Acne & Active Breakouts

Acne is a complex condition requiring targeted clinical intervention, not guesswork. We focus on balancing the skin’s biome, reducing inflammation, and clearing cellular congestion through non-invasive protocols built for lasting clarity.

Beneath the surface.

Acne develops below the cellular level-where trapped sebum, dead skin buildup, and bacteria create deep inflammation within un-cleared pores. While internal factors regulate the frequency of these breakouts, the visible inflammation is a signal that your skin’s ecosystem is out of balance.

The common instinct when a breakout appears is aggressive intervention-stripping the barrier with harsh acids and intensive scrubbing. However, compromised skin cannot heal under trauma. We believe that clinical resolution requires reducing the pressure on the skin, not increasing it.

In our Flagler Avenue studio, we deliver targeted acne protocols that support the skin’s biology rather than forcing it. We perform a clinical skin reading, soothe active inflammation, and balance cellular oil production. True clarity compounds over time, which is why sustainable recovery is a shared practice across sessions.

Five shapes acne takes.

Not every breakout is the same kind of breakout. Naming what we’re seeing changes what we’d reach for.

  • Inflamed papules and pustules

Red blemishes and whiteheads concentrated where surface oils are dense. These respond best to anti-inflammatory care and targeted blue LED therapy to clear bacteria quickly.

  • Closed comedones

Small, flesh-colored bumps trapped beneath the skin surface, often misread as simple texture. These benefit from gentle, sustained clinical exfoliation to safely clear the pore path.

  • Cystic flare-ups

Deeper, painful congestion along the jawline or chin linked to internal biological cycles. These stubborn breakouts require deep cellular soothing rather than harsh topical drying.

  • Post-inflammatory marks

The stubborn pink or brown discoloration left behind after a blemish heals. This is pigmentation rather than scarring, requiring a focus on skin brightening and cellular turnover.

  • Reactive, over-stripped skin

A tight, easily irritated complexion caused by overly aggressive acne products. Our primary clinical goal is to rebuild your natural moisture barrier and restore absolute calm.

Five quiet drivers.

01

Hormonal cycles

Androgens stimulate sebaceous glands, causing breakouts to cluster around the jawline and chin. This pattern typically requires a strategic clinical approach rather than topical spot treatments alone.

02

A compromised skin barrier

An over-stripped outer layer loses moisture, becomes highly reactive, and ironically triggers more oil production. Restoring the natural moisture barrier is our essential first step toward calm skin.

03

Bacterial imbalance

Acne bacteria thrives when pores are congested, triggering localized inflammation. Targeted antibacterial light therapy and precise clinical actives safely balance the skin microbiome without stripping it.

04

Stress and cortisol

Sustained stress elevates cortisol levels, which directly increases sebum production and slows down cellular healing. While we cannot eliminate your daily stressors, we can customize treatments to counteract their physical impact.

05

Diet, in some cases

High-glycemic foods and specific dairy products can aggravate systemic inflammation and trigger breakouts. We focus on identifying these personal patterns to better align your lifestyle with your clinical skin goals.

What we'd reach for.

Each one is a complete arc – preparation, treatment, restoration. We rarely use just one in isolation.

What changes, when.

01

After your first visit

Calmer, slightly pink.

Skin may display a temporary, healthy pink flush for a few hours. Existing blemishes might appear more defined initially as the natural clearing process begins.

02

Two weeks in

Faster turnover.

Active breakouts resolve at an accelerated rate and marks start to fade. Any new blemishes that surface now clear much faster due to increased cellular activity.

03

After one month

A quieter rhythm.

Breakouts become visibly less frequent and significantly less severe. Overall skin texture and tone begin to refine, allowing us to evolve your clinical protocol.

04

Three months

A different skin.

Most clients achieve a noticeably clearer, stabilized complexion. At this stage, we transition your skin into a customized maintenance phase to sustain long-term results.

How a session here differs.

We do not rely on a long list of reasons to choose us. We focus on five core principles, followed consistently during every single visit to ensure absolute clinical excellence.

One room. One guest. One practitioner.

No tag-teams or mid-session handoffs. The specialist who analyzes your skin is the same expert who designs your clinical protocol and guides your long-term recovery path.

We treat what's reacting.

Compromised skin requires a gentle, calculated approach. We pause active treatments when the skin shows signs of distress, focusing on rebuilding and soothing rather than forcing results.

Unhurried by design.

Sessions run sixty to ninety minutes with zero overlap between guests. There are no loud countdowns or visible clocks, ensuring your treatment is as peaceful as it is clinically effective.

Maintenance is part of the protocol.

We build clinical plans around sustainable progress. Your long-term routine is thoughtfully structured to maintain your skin health over time, without pushing unnecessary upsells after the treatment.

No screens, no playlist, no sell.

What you will experience is closer to a quiet, clinical appointment than a commercial spa event. Every element of the studio is curated to eliminate noise, leaving only room for absolute calm.

A practiced hand.

A few honest notes.

Most guests notice calmer skin after the first visit and visible change after three to four. Deeper recurring breakouts often need a longer arc – six to eight sessions, spaced over two to three months. We’ll tell you what we’re seeing each time.
Sometimes – usually only with treatments that accelerate skin turnover, and usually mild. If we expect it, we’ll tell you ahead of time. We don’t run “purges” as a marketing move; we treat them as a side effect to manage when they happen.
Acne is hormonal and cyclical for most people, so honestly – possibly. What treatment can change is severity, duration, and scarring. Maintenance visits keep skin in a quieter rhythm rather than chasing breakouts after they appear.
Yes – and most of our acne work is adult acne. The treatment approach is gentler than what’s usually pitched to teenagers.
Yes – and we encourage it. Bring the names of any topical or oral medications to your first visit.
